Finding the rental location is in itself part of the challenge that comes with this boat rental. No pickup adres communicated apart form the town, non-withstandig multiple emails asking for a more precise adress. The boat is not ready when we arrive at the agreed time, but no worries , you can just keep it for the agreed duration, and come in later. No real briefing, no info on the area, just a 'watch out for the many sandbanks'. As mentioned in other reviews, the RIB is rather heavy and pretty tired, and would benefit from a real overhaul. The 150 hp Honda struggles with the weight of the boat, cruising speed of 15 knots is what you can expect, with a consumption of over 20 lph. GPS stops operating and refuses to restart, what is, in this navigation area with numerous sandbanks, rather problematic, especially as there was no paper chart available. We asked for one when we left and we recieved the publicity folder in return... On Sundays the local petrol station is closed, so tha gastank is refilled from canisters upon return. Initially the rental crew wanted to apply the conctractual 'you pay € 180 when not refilled and tank less than half full' while we used around 70 l out of the 100 l tank. After some negotiation we settled on € 105. I'd conclude on: you get what you pay for, not a lot, and the lack of proper navigational aids resulted in a rather stressfull trip. If you prepare yourself in detail, and check the tidal calendar, you can enjoy a beautiful area. Otherwise steer away from this boat.
The engine is old and tired and probably reaches hardly more than half the speed such engine should reach, while consuming petrol massively. in general it is difficult to navigate alone around those waters due to sandbanks that are not marked by buoys neither on the map. But still it was an amazing trip with very beautiful scenery and pristine beaches.
Overall a positive experience with a competitive price but also a large room for improvement. The online booking was easy, and leticia showed openness to chat and clarify any questions! Regarding the team, the reception was friendly but mildly professional and certainly not specialized, showing no previous knowledge about the boat being rented. The boat boarding was delayed 45 min due to team still preparing the boat. As for the boat, I believe it is underequiped ( no extra ropes or ladder available; freezer is small; GPS is ok) and the engine performance is ok at best showing large binary but small power for the size and weight of the boat (barely planes at 4500 rpm) Given the lack of competition in this area I would say this is an option, but improvements are recommended!
