Passeio pelo Oceano now offers you the possibility to rent a boat and discover the island from a different angle in complete freedom on board of Maximus. We make you aware that it is forbidden to follow the whales/dolphin seing boats or to go close to them when they observe animals; failure to comply with this rule is punishable by a fine of EUR 2,000. We had an unforgettable day on the water with the motorboat and two fantastic skippers! The boat was in excellent condition, and the skippers were professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. They knew all the best spots, which made the experience even more special. We felt safe and well taken care of the entire time. Highly recommend this boat rental if you're looking for a perfect day on the water with expert guidance. We would definitely book again!
We had a great day out with Jessica and Alex, our skippers. Showed around the island, stopped off at some great swimming spots. They also took us to a great lunch spot. Comms from Dominique/ Nelson was good. I would recommend using them for a fun day out on the water, learning more about the island. Huge thanks for the wakeboarding lesson 🏄😁
Best day! Skippers were top tier, booking us a restaurant for lunch, planned itinerary & great chat all around. Boat was beautiful and rode well, despite the rough conditions.

Unfortunately we had a bad experience with the staff that handles the boat (Nelson and the young lady who delivered the keys to us) and we don't recommend renting this boat. First the boat owner postponed our trip with 1 week because the boat had some technical problems and needed some repairs. After that, the morning when we arrived to pick up the boat a young lady gave us the keys and then left us with the boat without any instructions (also she mentioned that she is on holiday and that she is not supposed to give us the boat on her own free time). Nelson who was suppose to deliver the boat didn't come in the morning and the boat was parked in small marina packed with boats. Because we didn't get any help when we picked up the boat we scratched the boat once when we left the marina (we touched another boat very easy) and for this Nelson charged us 200 EUR when we returned. Also he initially tried to blame us for other existing scratches that the boat already had and when we refused to take the blame for them also he just said that we need to pay 200 EUR for one scratch. The staff that handles the boat knows very well that it's not easy to maneuver the boat in the small marina, Nelson himself struggled to position the boat in the correct spot when we came back (for someone that doesn't know the boat and the marina is very difficult to handle this for the first time). To be honest, I think they want to discourage renting the boat without a skipper and that's why they treated us like this.

What an incredible experience to see the beautiful Island of Madeira from the ocean! Nelson was very helpful from the beginning! The Skipper, Antonio, was amazing! He showed me all of the best spots to go explore on land! I fully recommend this tour! They also do incredible fishing trips so do book your tour today!
My wife and I had a fantastic day out in the water with Elder. The booking process, communication by Nelson beforehand, and the actual ride itself all was easy and comfortable. We had a fantastic time out on the water and really enjoyed our day. I even managed to leave my wedding ring on the boat and was contacted the next day by Nelson, who personally delivered it back to me in Funchal the following day. I have nothing but gratitude and good memories to convey. Thank you!
