Sail further down the coast to see the Natural Park of L’Albufera. The park represents 25,000 hectares of protected land. L’Albufera, one of its ecosystems, is Spain’s largest freshwater lagoon and an important conservation area. It is surrounded by marshes and paddy fields.
If you’re looking for a longer adventure, cross over to the famous island of Ibiza. From there, you can explore the Balearic Islands. This archipelago is made up of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera. The islands are known for their secluded beaches, scenic coastlines, and idyllic coves. As there are many marine reserves around the islands, it’s the perfect place for snorkeling and marine fauna and flora observation. The cuisine of the island is a mix of Catalan, Mediterranean and Spanish cuisines. Specialities include lobster stew and Sobrassada, a pork sausage.
