A captivating seaside city on the Adriatic coast, Dubrovnik has a plethora of interesting sites that make it perfect for either a day trip or a week-long cruise. You can take your Dubrovnik yacht charter to a variety of different locations on the Dalmation coast, including a number of Croatian Islands, such as the Kornati and Elaphiti Islands, and even the Zadar archipelago. If you would prefer to stay closer to the main city, you can stroll along the Dubrovnik city walls, looking out over the Adriatic Sea, or visit the Old City, which is even a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If you head north up the coast with your Dubrovnik yacht hire, you can also visit the Krka National Park, an area of exquisite natural beauty that enchants anyone who goes there.
The real beauty of Dubrovnik, though, is the marine infrastructure. There are a number of well-equipped marinas in Dubrovnik, that will be perfect for your trip, no matter which type of boat you rent. A couple of the best marinas include, ACI Marina Dubrovnik, Marina Frapa Dubrovnik, and Marina Lumbarda, but there are also a number of smaller, less crowded options available.
The price of renting a boat in Dubrovnik is subject to fluctuation based on a number of different factors. Dubrovnik generally has cool, wet winters and hot, dry summers, with temperatures that gradually increase during the spring from around 11°C in March to about 18°C in May. Summers, despite having generally good weather, usually leave the beaches full of tourists, which means that if it’s a quiet holiday you’re after, this is not the time to go. Winter temperatures are usually around 10°C during the day and the queues for the different attractions located around the city will be very short as the winter rarely sees many tourists.
In general, we recommend hiring a yacht in Dubrovnik either during the late spring or the early autumn. During this period, the weather will still be pleasant, but there will be fewer tourists. In October, the Bora winds also start blowing, tempering the warmer temperatures that are still sometimes present at this time of year.
The answer to this question depends on a number of different things, including the amount of people travelling and the type of boat you’re looking to hire. However, you can find motorboats available to charter for a group of 12 people for a price of just £58 per day, or £406 per week.
In Dubrovnik, private yachts are available for hires. See your options in the area.
