Kraken, our Hanse 415, is 12 meters long. Capacity for 8 people (overnight), 3 double cabins plus 2 bathrooms and a table in the living room that can be converted into a bed. The boat is equipped for zone 2 (up to 60 miles from the coast). It is a fast boat, very easy to navigate and with an impressive habitability. The base port is in the Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona. It is rented without a skipper or with professional skippers, most of whom are official guides of the Atlantic Islands National Park. Its state of conservation and maintenance is very good NAVIGATION AREA The Galician rias are one of the best destinations in Europe for sailing thanks to its rias. 1,300 miles of coastline in 200 miles of distance thanks to sea inlets on land called Rías. Thanks to our rias we have protected waters, dozens of marinas, hundreds of sheltered anchorages on fine sandy beaches, spectacular landscapes and our jewel: the Atlantic Islands National Park, 4 archipelagos within a 30 nautical mile radius that represent the best of the Atlantic Ocean. It is the best valued park in Spain, and it can only be visited by boat. Thanks to the protection of the rias and islands, and the short distance between destinations, the Rías Baixas are a suitable destination for sailors without previous experience, families and children. Our base is in Baiona, famous for being the port that received Christopher Columbus after discovering America. Our base, the Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona, is one of the most beautiful and exclusive in all of Spain. Galician gastronomy has the best products in all of Spain: Fish, shellfish, meat and vegetables are of the highest quality and its gastronomy is acclaimed throughout Spain. All the staff of the company are in love with our land and we are happy to work as travel guides to advise you what to do and see taking into account your tastes and preferences. Jules Verne fell in love with our rias, so much so, that he dedicated an entire chapter of his famous novel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea to the Ría de Vigo. The boat was in good condition, the anchor motor failure could not spoil our excellent sailing vacation. The Julio Verde Nautica team is very friendly, professional, helpfull (for eg arranging the islands permits), supportive...and 24/7 available. The region is beautiful and charming, the islands are a must-see and defenitely worth the trip to Baiona.
