Boat rental in La Trinité-sur-Mer · Sangermani — Laurent-Giles (1959)
Description of Alexandre's sailboat
Sailboat - 23m — Sangermani - Laurent-Giles
An attractive classic cruising-racing yacht for fast, comfortable sailing from La Trinité or any other port on the Atlantic coast, cruising or taking part in the season's major events: Semaine du Golfe, Rendez-vous de la Belle Plaisance, Noirmoutier Classic, Voiles de Légende... Alcor is very comfortable: the four beautiful guest Oceans Evasionins and the crew quarter can accommodate up to 10 people, and the large aft bathroom is even equipped with a real bathtub. The generously glazed saloon and deck saloon, protected by an awning, seat 8 around two large tables. The powerful original Rolls-Royce engine guarantees a cruising speed of 9 knots if the wind fails. But it's also a real racing boat: the 28 m tall mast and 250 m2 of sail area require a skilled, muscular crew, with the result that the sailing experience is incomparable, especially at the helm, which is extraordinarily smooth and precise. The boat will be available for charter for up to 10 days during the 2025 season. It will also be available for co-boating, for around €90 per day per person (depending on the number of people), for a maximum of 8 people, with a limit of 30 people x days over the 2025 season. Please do not hesitate to contact me via the Oceans Evasion messaging system if you have any questions. See you soon on board, Alexandre Its history: Alcor II was designed by Englishman Jack Laurent-Giles and built in Italy by the Sangermani shipyard for a Spanish owner. Jack Laurent-Giles is renowned for his many innovations, and in particular for the progress he has made in optimizing sailing and motoring performance. The Sangermani shipyard was founded at the end of the 19th century. It has the rare distinction of having only ever built pleasure yachts (no workboats), one-offs (no production runs). Alcor is the largest of the fifteen yachts built by this architect and shipyard partnership. The Alcor's focus on performance is reflected in its slender hull, 28 m tall mast, 250 m² of sail area, 17-ton ballast, deep 3.2 m draught and impressive aft deck coffee grinder: all the hallmarks of a racing yacht. And the emphasis on comfort is reflected in the very welcoming deck saloon, the five Oceans Evasionins, each with its own washbasin, the three bathrooms, one of which is fitted with a real bathtub, and last but not least, the very powerful Rolls-Royce engine (320 hp). Alcor has undergone virtually no modifications since she was built: the interior fittings are entirely intact, and the engine, windlass and electric genoa furler, all original, are still in working order. An unspoiled testament to the talents of the architect and the shipyard, Alcor offers a 60-year leap back in yachting history. It is a listed historic monument and part of the fleet of the Musée Maritime de La Rochelle.

We have just spent four unforgettable days aboard Alexandre's boat for a cruise in the Gulf of Morbihan. The boat was in perfect condition, comfortable and perfectly equipped for our trip. Alexandre was a fantastic host, always available to answer our questions and make sure everything went perfectly. The beauty of the Gulf of Morbihan is indescribable, and we were able to discover it at its best thanks to this experience. We highly recommend renting Alexandre's boat to anyone wishing to explore this magnificent region. Thank you again for this wonderful adventure!
Unforgettable experience on the occasion of our 30th anniversary with our family! Everyone was delighted with the day! The boat was magnificent and consistent with the photos! Alexandre is very accommodating and the communication and organization beforehand were very easy! In addition, participating in the various maneuvers is really very nice and fun! In short, we warmly recommend this experience!
