Description of Jérémy's sailboat
Sailboat - 12.25m — Jeanneau - Sun Fizz
SeaMer is a habitable sailboat cruise school based in the south of Brittany, in La Turballe and Lorient. Daphné and Jérémy, both instructors, offer sailing courses on their 40-foot Sun Fizz in Brittany (and beyond!). Cruising sailing courses are open to everyone, regardless of your level and age. We are convinced that each navigation is a great opportunity to learn, discover and above all to have fun. You will be at the helm and at the maneuvers and we will build the navigation program together according to your desires and in depending on weather and tide. We will take advantage of the stopovers to discover the host ports and their surroundings. The objective of the courses is in particular to acquire landmarks and navigation techniques: - memorize sailing maneuvers and acquire automatisms (steering, tacking board, gybes, reefing, person overboard, spinnaker, etc.), - understand the settings, - master port and mooring manoeuvres, - improve in weather analysis, navigation preparation and tide calculation, - progress in “old-fashioned” cartography without electronics with only a nautical chart, a bearing compass and a Cras ruler, - become familiar with “modern” navigation using electronic instruments, - develop your seamanship with a view to autonomy on board a sailboat. We are committed to offering sailing courses in which everyone feels comfortable learning and experimenting. THE sharing convivial moments (preparing meals, outings, aperitifs, etc.) is part of the cruise and life on board! And because we believe that life on a sailboat is an ideal ground for opening up to oneself and to others, we offer also courses that combine sailing with other practices: personal development, art therapy, drawing, making travel diaries... Professionals then come on board and pass on their passion to us. Stopovers are adapted to allow their intervention and collective practice. For women who want to gain confidence and autonomy aboard a sailboat, it is possible to organize women's cruises and embark with Daphne as skipper. Sliding enthusiasts (kitesurfing, wing, windsurfing, etc.) can board with their equipment and enjoy the spots under the supervision of Jérémy, IKO kitesurfing instructor. THE BOAT: Timshel is a 40 foot Sun Fizz whose reputation is second to none. Very seaworthy and well-built monohull, it is equipped for coastal and offshore sailing. It was completely renovated this year and offers great on-board living and navigation capabilities: 3 double cabins, a large convertible bed in the saloon, toilet and shower room, fridge, capacity of 500 liters of water, a beautiful and large chart table, and plenty of storage... For navigation in safety and performance: autopilot, spinnaker, sun awning, on-board electronics, armament offshore, new rigging… It will be the ideal support to introduce you to or improve your skills in habitable sailing, while offering you the necessary comfort to enjoy a great week with family or friends. You will discover the magnificent islands of southern Brittany, the sister islands Houât and Hoëdic, and the most remote and wild, Belle-Ile and Groix. And maybe even sail to the Glénan archipelago, which has nothing to envy to the West Indies, word of sailors ;)! We can also let ourselves be carried away by the currents of the Gulf of Morbihan during a stopover on the Ile aux Moines or Arz, or go up the Bono river to the charming port of Saint Goustan. If you feel like it and the wind allows it, we will change the atmosphere and head south to the Vendée islands of Noirmoutier and Yeu. No more slates and kouign aman, make way for tiles and delicious patagos! do not hesitate to contact us to find out more about our various internship offers or a tailor-made proposal.
