Boat rental in San Blas Islands · Lagoon — 400 (2011)

Very nice boat, very nice Captain. Thank you Magali for showing us San Blas paradise.

When we arrived the interior areas were dirty (dirty sheets / bad smell toilets / dead cockroach in port cabin) and unorganized. No solutions were provided by Magali so we had to start organizing galley and salon ourselves to be able to store our provisions. Then noticed that we only disposed of one small fridge for entire stay. We brought a lot of food as no supermarkets at San Blas and we had to throw away most of the meat after the second day as the fridge does not cool enough. In the end we organized ice ourselves in coolbox to be able to store drinks and have a cold beer / wine. Regardless of the bad start, we opted to try and create good atmosphete on board. After several attempts to have small talk and various declines on having breakfast or dinner with us, we realized that there was no interest on her side to connect. We were never asked if we were enjoying our stay, and Magali was the first to go to bed and the last to wake up. In the mornings I cleaned the deck myself as she never showed any intentions to do so herself. No service was provided during entire trip that lasted a week. Not once were we asked if we wanted a drinks or did she prepare some fruit or whatsoever when we were on anchor, let alone helping us to prepare some food or do some cleaning (we did offer her a plate of food on a daily basis). Luckily the experience of San Blas was beautiful enough for us to have enjoyed a great trip with our family. On the opposite her lack of profesionalism and communication would most likely have ruined our holidays. Please not that I own a big charter company myself and have worker as a captain myself in the past, so I know what I talk about when evaluating the product and service provided. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this boat to nobody as long as Magali does not improve her skills as a captain / hostess on board. Prior to our departure all the above feedback was passed on to her already so this evaluation should not be any surprise.
